Visitor Guidelines
Food Offerings Food offerings are made daily by 10:30 am, followed by a formal blessing from the monks. Visitors are welcome to join the chanting and share in the lunch that follows, with an open discussion with the monks from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm.
Public Transport There is also a complimentary bus service from Macarthur Station to Tea & Greens (Bingara Gorge), from where you can catch an Uber to the monastery — see the bus timetable here. For example, Bus 2 arrives at Macarthur Station by 8:55 am and reaches Tea & Greens by 9:37 am, from where an Uber to the monastery costs around $17 and takes about 7 minutes' drive, plus waiting time. Returning, Bus 2 departs Tea & Greens at 1:08 pm and arrives back at Macarthur Station by 1:40 pm. Another option is Douglas Park station, about 10 minutes' drive from the monastery — you can take an Uber from there or ask if someone from the monastery can offer a lift.
Support Us

Sustain this sanctuary

The monastery depends on the generosity of lay supporters to sustain the resident community and maintain the forest sanctuary. All contributions directly support the monks and the conditions for practice.
