Supporting the monks and the forest sanctuary
The monastery depends on the generosity of lay supporters to sustain the resident community and maintain the forest sanctuary. All contributions directly support the monks and the conditions for practice.
The monks typically walk their alms round in the local area most mornings. However, the most convenient time for making food offerings for the monks' daily meal is at 10:30 am in the outdoor kitchen at the monastery.
The monastery is constructing a multipurpose hall for eating, meditation, guest accommodation, and community activities. The next stage of development is running services to and around the building.
Both funds go through Westpac Bank, Rose Bay, and both accept PayPal.
Beyond the monthly Working Bees, the monastery welcomes volunteer support for specific tasks, event help, and professional services. Get in touch to offer your time or skills.
